Job Overview:
Our client has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional Engineering Project Leader. These teams will take a product all the way from its original design concept through manufacturing to its ultimate launch into the marketplace. Teams are involved in the process from beginning to end -- talking to customers, developing product specifications, creating prototypes, manufacturing, testing and launching the final product.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Product Managers to write and consense product specifications.
- Develop project plans and staffing requirements.
- Drive and guide projects and people through the entire development process, taking full ownership for the success of the cross-functional team. Metrics include time-to-market, quality, cost, and product performance-to-specifications.
- Interface with senior management in Engineering, Business, Marketing and Sales.
- Mentor and develop less-experienced engineers
Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience leading product development teams in an engineering-intensive organization.
- BSEE/MSEE preferred. Will consider other engineering disciplines.
- Demonstrated track record for bringing products to market on tight time lines, with premier quality and competitive costs.
- Ability to rally a team around a goal, and keep them excited and focused in the face of changes and challenges.
- Experience in developing innovative products, figuring out how to do things that haven’t been done before.
- Creative, yet focused enough on project details to ensure success.
