Job Overview:
Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design & Development Engineer to provide experienced Electrical design input and lead projects as a part of the Central Engineering Value Analysis Team. Your focus will be to engineer significant cost reductions to existing products.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering input and design modifications to existing and new products. A special emphasis will be on projects aimed at improving product Gross Margins.
- Conceive and deliver cost reduced designs that meet or exceed the specification and performance of the existing products.
- Conduct and/or participate in Value Analysis brain storming sessions and product tear down reviews to establish ideas for cost savings.
- Participate as a coach / mentor to assigned new product teams in areas related to Design for cost, Standard Parts Selections and Robust Design Principles.
Qualifications:
- BS Electrical Engineering is required. Masters preferred.
- 10+ years of Value Analysis Engineering and/or “Should Cost” experience.
- Significant and broad EE experience with Analog and (mostly) Hardware experience.
- Power Electronics and RF are strongly preferred.
- Comfortable leading cross-functional Teams.
- Able to understand the quality process control and be able to manage multiple priorities.
